Asian Academy for Electoral Integrity (AAEI) fellow Alexa Yadao of the Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) co-facilitated a learning session about process and results verification for transparency (PRVT) and open election data on 15 May 2024, Manila, Philippines.
Yadao talked about the importance of open election data in fortifying electoral integrity and transparency and properties of openness of institutions regarding election data.

The session was followed by a lecture and hands-on training about PRVT and how data can be leveraged in planning and conducting comprehensive election observation missions facilitated by Simon Wanjiru, PRVT/Electoral Processes Expert from Kenya and Mario Mitre, National Democratic Institute Senior Adviser for Elections Programs.
The learning session in Manila builds on the inaugural AAEI where the fellows were given the opportunity to propose a focused cascade session within their organizations.
Kathmandu, Nepal from 9-13 December 2023 where 16 young and emerging election observers and democracy advocates completed a series of interactive activities, group exercises, lightning talks and hands-on exercises on the legal framework and electoral system, independence of election management bodies (EMBs), persistent issues on transparency and inclusiveness of election, open election data, campaign finance and abuse of state resources during elections, disinformation, election observation innovations and practical approaches on how to pursue electoral reforms.
